Athabasca’s Edwin Parr Composite High School Uses Solar

Students are learning about solar firsthand as they begin to understand how their school is powered by electricity gathered from the sun. This knowledge is equipping the next generation of Athabascans to understand more about solar power.

 

The ARREA group plans to schedule a tour of the panels in the future to see how the system has been managed since it was installed.

An opportunity for the new multiplex pool to possibly source some of the solar energy created by the Aspen View EPC solar panels during the summer months when school is out may be an efficient example of energy usage.

EPC is a pioneer in solar usage by a high school, showcasing a major step to adoption in the Athabasca region.
